My photography is rooted in a fascination with the subtle narratives woven into the fabric of daily life.
On city streets and while commuting and travelling, I seek out moments of introspection and connection: capturing solitary figures, fleeting glances, and the layered reflections that blur the boundaries between public and private worlds.
Many of my portraits are made with people shortly after I meet them for the first time and ask if they will allow me to make a portrait; my aim with these brief encounters is to collaborate and something to their day rather than taking from the lovely kind people who say ‘yes’.
Beyond the city, my lens turns to the sea: a subject that mirrors the complexity and serenity I find in urban environments. The shifting textures of water, the drama of clouds, and the stark contrast of shoreline and sky become metaphors for resilience, solitude, and the passage of time.
My seascapes, like my street scenes, are invitations to contemplate the beauty and tension in the spaces we inhabit.
Through my work, I aim to create visual experiences that are both intimate and universal: images that linger in the mind and encourage viewers to see the world, and themselves, with renewed curiosity and empathy.
