Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Stuart Humphreys?

I’m a photographer drawn to the quiet poetry of everyday life. My work explores moments of introspection, connection, and stillness—whether found in the solitude of a city street or the shifting light over the sea. Each photograph is a study in tone, texture, and emotion, capturing the subtle narratives that shape how we see and feel the world around us.

What inspires your photography?

I’m inspired by the interplay between light and shadow, presence and absence, solitude and connection. The urban landscape, with its reflections and fleeting encounters, offers endless opportunities to explore human emotion. The sea, in contrast, provides a meditative counterpoint—its vastness echoing the same themes of resilience and contemplation that run through my street work.

What kinds of photography do you specialise in?

My practice centers on fine art street photography and minimalist seascapes. I work primarily in monochrome and muted tones, focusing on atmosphere and emotional depth rather than literal documentation. Each image is composed to invite reflection and emotional engagement.

Do you sell prints of your photographs?

Yes. Limited edition fine art prints are available for purchase; please contact me to enquire about obtaining prints.

Are your photographs available for licensing or editorial use?

Select works are available for licensing in editorial, book, and exhibition contexts. Please reach out with project details, and I’ll be happy to discuss terms and availability.

How can I stay updated on your latest work?
